SQL Server 2005 Very Large Database (VLDB) features

Rowan Burke is going to discuss some of the administation and performance features of SQL Server 2005 that will impact VLDBs (Very Large Databases). He will discuss some of the new features such as data
partitioning, online indexing, online database restores that have been designed to increase availability and performance in the new version of
SQL Server.

Rowan works for a Sydney based ISV called Financial Network Services who are Microsoft Certified Partners and participated in the Yukon (SQL Server 2005) Ascend program. He attended Yukon beta preview launch event in Seattle in Feb 2003, and has been on the beta program since that date.
