Introduction to CLR integration in SQL Server 2005 (September 2004 meeting)
Author: Greg Linwood Date Posted: 12/08/2004 9:27:58 AM
One of the biggest changes occurring in SQL Server 2005 (Yukon) is the integration of CLR (common language runtime) assemblies. At the 2004 MVP global summit in Redmond, SQL Server MVPs jokingly renamed the product “CLR Server”, given the degree of new capabilities. This month, Greg Low will be providing an introduction to the CLR integration provided by SQL Server 2005, in terms of what it means for both developers and for database administrators.
