Upgrading existing DTS Packages to SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is one of the most controversial upgrade topics, as SSIS is not simply an upgrade to DTS but version 1.0 of a brand new product. Based on real world experience Catherine Eibner will demonstrate how to perform some of the common day-to-day task in SSIS as well as the pitfalls to be aware of to ensure that the DTS upgrade path is as painless as possible.
About the Presenter
Catherine Eibner is currently based in Sydney, Australia working as a Senior System Designer for Cybner Computer Solutions (www.cybner.com.au). Catherine has just past the half way point in achieving a Masters of Solution Development with CSU & IT Masters. Catherine has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 1997 ranging from Testing, Database Development, Windows & Web Development to Training & Project Management. Catherine has been a MCP since 2002, and has just recently achieved an MCTS in SQL 2005 and is aiming to get MCT status this year as well as Small Business Specialist, and a few more other Microsoft exams under her belt for her Masters.
