This presentation covers advanced clustering concepts. We will begin by discussing some of the common issues encountered with clustering under SQL Server 2005, then we will discuss how these issues have been resolved with SQL Server 2008 on Windows Server 2008. We will show you how to install a SQL Server 2008 cluster from start to finish. You will learn some best practices and get some insight on how SQL Server works with clustering so that you can be more effective at troubleshooting issues when they occur. Upgrading from SQL Server 2005 will be covered as well as other advanced topics such as creating n-1 node active clusters, rolling upgrades and performing bare metal installs on Server Core.
