PSSUG: SQL Azure with Scott Klein
Author: Brian H. Madsen Date Posted: 28/03/2011 10:47:30 PM
We've gotten Scott Klein on board (SQL Azure MVP) to do a "long distance" presentation for our members.

Introduction to SQL Azure - This presentation will take a look at SQL Azure, and try to clear up many of the myths surrounding it. We'll look at many of the considerations around SQL Azure such as migrating from on-premise to SQL Azure, performance topics, and use cases for SQL Azure.

Scott Klein is a SQL Azure MVP based in South Florida, USA. He is managing partner of Blue Syntax Consulting, a Microsoft Partner which specializes in the Microsoft Azure platform, providing consulting, services, and training.

Scott is the author of a number of books, including the recently released Pro SQL Azure by APress. Other books include Professional SQL Server 2005 XML, Professional LINQ, and Pro Entity Framework. Scott is president of the South Florida SQL Server Users Group and the SQL Azure PASS virtual chapter. He also runs the SQL Saturday event each year.

This will be a virtual event, via Live Meeting, but we will still be meeting physically.

We have new offices at Parmelia House (just took over floors 6 and 7) and this event will be held as a morning session (we'll see if we can put a bit of a spread on).

Please use the following link to register for this event:

Another email will go out with the Live Meeting details for those who cannot attend in person.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Venue: Level 6, 191 St Georges Terrace (Parmelia House) | Duration 8:00am - 9:30am | On: Friday, 8 April 2011
