Author: Shaun Baggett Date Posted: 27/09/2011 9:18:33 AM
In today’s high-powered technological market place we are under constant pressure to improve performance and save costs so we all need to look at means by which we can achieve these goals. One of the ways in which Microsoft SQL Server aids us in this objective is by using an often overlooked SQL technology, Compression.

In this presentation we will look at How, When, What, Where & Why Compression can help you.

How: Save Time & Money
When: Did this all come about
What: T-SQL, SSMS & Compression Estimation Tool
Where: Databases & Backups
Why: Reduced Space Usage, Reduced IO, Reduced Processing Time

Please arrive before 17:00 as the Microsoft Offices doors automatically lock at that time.
