So you want to be a Data Architect
Cameron Townshend will present on what's required to be a Data Architect.

What does a data architect do? What does a data architecture look like. What skills, tools, techniques and processes do you need to develop a data architecture.

We will look at Data modelling, Meta data management, data quality and data stewardship. We will complete the session by looking at demo of Microsoft's new Data Quality Services.

BIO
Cameron has worked with SQL Server since 4.21a. He has built large systems such as Toyota's Fleet management system, The Weather Channel and NSW Department of Primary Industries Livestock Health System. He is MCITP certified in SQL Server 2008 and leads the Microsoft Development practice at Artis Group a Microsoft Gold competency partner in Data and Web Development. He has been called on to review and fix performance problems in many large SQL Server/.Net implementations such as Coates Hire, GraysOnline, RTA, AIH and Chubb Security.
