DBD: Performance Tuning Your Transact-SQL Code Through the Plan Cache
Author: Victor Isakov Date Posted: 12/3/2012 4:47:04 PM
Like a CSI Investigator you can examine the evidence left behind by Transact-SQL code execution to optimize performance! This evidence, in the form of execution plans, can be found in the plan cache.

In this session Victor Isakov (MCA, MCM, MCT, MVP) will show how you can use XQuery to examine the plan cache to find potential performance problems. This technique can be used to reduce table scans, troubleshoot parallelism problems, determine unused indexes and identify which Transact-SQL code should be optimized.

Speaker: Victor Isakov (SQL Server Solutions)
