Released as a component of SQL Server 2005, Integration Services (SSIS) replaces Data Transformation Services (DTS). This component delivers an enterprise ETL platform that provides vastly higher performance and scalability, and a more trustworthy and reliable platform than its predecessor.
In this presentation learn about the architecture of the platform and how to take advantage of the new management features, including the SSIS Service, logging features, package configurations and deployment. Comprehensive demonstrations will show you how to develop and deploy packages, and how to monitor and manage those packages once deployed.
No prior experience with DTS is required or assumed. This presentation is relevant to all IT professionals, ranging from those who are required to manage ad hoc data transfers, to those architecting enterprise ETL solutions.
