MDX with Darren Gosbell
Author: Rob Farley Date Posted: 7/4/2007 7:45:01 PM
Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) is the query language that you use to work with and retrieve multidimensional data in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS). In this talk, Darren Gosbell will be sharing some of his expert knowledge with us on the subject.

Darren Gosbell is a senior consultant with James & Monroe, a consulting firm whose specialties include the areas of business intelligence, data warehousing and business performance management (BPM). He has in excess of eight years practical experience in building and implementing data warehousing and business intelligence solutions for some of Australia’s largest corporations. He has used all versions of SQL Server since version 7.0, participating in the beta programs for both SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005.

In 2006 Darren received a Microsoft MVP award in SQL Server in recognition of his contribution to the community specially in the areas of Analysis Services and MDX. He lives in Melbourne with his wife and 2 children and enjoys throwing boomerangs when he can find a safe area in which to do so (which is not nearly as often as he would like)
