SQL Server 2008 includes several new features that allow customers to find and correct historical and current performance problems. This presentation explains these technologies and shows the performance tools in action. It also explains the components in these features and how you can optimize these components for implementation.
About the Presenter
Michael has worked in the IT industry for more than 16 years. For the last thirteen years, Michael has focused on database technologies, specifically SQL Server. Michael has been at Microsoft for nearly four years and works as a Principal Consultant in Microsoft Services Australia. Although based primarily at customer sites, Michael also produces technical papers for internal distribution within Microsoft and participates in multiple SQL Server and infrastructure internal communities. He contributes as a part-time technical reviewer for technical white papers from the Microsoft SQL Server Best Practices team, and has also contributed by authoring a white paper. He is an internal SME for the APAC region for SQL Server.
