Author: Rob Farley Date Posted: 16/02/2009 11:39:31 PM
No, this session does not have anything to do with high fashion or catwalks. During this session we will have a look at dimensional modelling for Analysis Services. We will introduce what it is, how it’s done and look at the features that Analysis Services provides to support some of the different modelling techniques. The focus of this session will be around the various types of dimension usage, looking at regular relationships, fact relationships, many-to-many relationships and reference relationships.

Darren Gosbell is a Principal Consultant with James & Monroe, a consulting firm whose specialties include the areas of business intelligence, data warehousing and business performance management (BPM). He has in excess of nine years practical experience in building and implementing data warehousing and business intelligence solutions for some of Australia’s largest corporations.
