DBA: The Important Trace Flags (Victor Isakov)
Author: Victor Isakov Date Posted: 3/30/2009 9:57:41 AM
There is very important functionality in SQL Server that can only be turned on via trace flags. From capturing deadlock information and analyzing locking behaviour in real-time to minimizing transactional log activity for bulk loads and improving tempdb performance. Unfortunately there is no central repository of these various trace flags. In fact, some of them are not documented at all. In this session Victor Isakov will persent the important trace flags, the caveats to using them and present use cases for when to use them. So whether you're a DBA or a database developer, you will find these trace flags extremely useful.

Speaker: Victor Isakov is a Database Architect and Microsoft Certified Trainer who provides consulting and training services to various organizations in the public, private and NGO sectors globally, and been involved in different capacities at various international events and conferences. He has authored a number of books on SQL Server and worked closely with Microsoft to develop the new generation of SQL Server 2005 Certification and Microsoft Official Curriculum for both instructor led training (ILT) and e-Learning.

Due to the interest shown in these events, the limited seating capacity and the registration process we would like everyone to confirm their attendance. We need people to RSVP 72 hours before the event so as to be able to print out the name badges and ensure a smooth registration process.

Venue: Westpac Place • 275 Kent St • Sydney • NSW 2000 | Duration 12:00 - 14:00 | On: Wednesday, August 5, 2009
