MDX for the Masses - Mark Morton
Author: Peter Ward Date Posted: 6/10/2009 1:09:04 AM
So, maybe you’ve heard about SQL Server Analysis Services Multi-Dimensional Expressions (MDX) and thought they were in (and should stay in) the ‘too-hard’ basket.

Or perhaps you see the writing on the wall with the ever-creeping tide of Microsoft BI focused products and technologies which are bound to make your life as a little old DBA that little bit more esoteric.

Either way, this session aims to introduce and explain how MDX works, what the basic key syntax elements are and will show some common ways of using MDX in the real world.
