SQL Server 2012 Performance Tuning from the Trenches

In this session Rob will explore the techniques to analyse SQL Server Wait Statistics to identify bottlenecks and SQL Server issues; including delta captures, the use the SQL Server 2012 Performance Dashboard and Powershell charting. The session will focus on some of the common Wait scenarios and will include walkthroughs and analysis of real data collections.

About the Speaker
Rob Risetto is cofounder and technical director of StrataDB, a Brisbane based SQL Server and BI Consulting company. Rob is passionate about the SQL Server Engine, and the techniques to maximise performance, scalability and high availability. Away from the SQL Server world, Rob likes to relax with his family and explore the treasures of the great south east.
