Optimizing Procedural Code - Kimberly Tripp (Live Meeting)
Author: Darren Gosbell Date Posted: 8/12/2014 6:55:48 AM
Stored procedures are used in almost every application. However, not every stored procedure is used the same way and with the same parameters each time. As a result, you might see inconsistent performance and even tremendously poor performance under the "right" conditions. Why? Because your procedure is sensitive to the parameters used but the plan does not change for each execution. But, do you want it to change for EVERY execution? Recompiling every time is too costly. So, how do you solve this problem and balance performance and CPU? Attend this session to find out!
