Biml for a DBA? Hang on a minute, Biml is for Business Intelligence developers right? A DBA is primarily responsible for the administration and day-to-day running of SQL Server environments. What does BI have to do with administration and day-to-day tasks? Environment Migrations, Environment Refreshes and DB Maintenance are just a couple of key tasks that a DBA will need to worry about in their environment. In this session I will introduce Biml & BimlScript to the DBA outlining with a framework in place, how these tasks can be implemented in a standard and consistent fashion. With the use of some demo’s showing how Biml can make life easier for the DBA and bust the myth that Biml & BimlScript are only for Business Intelligence developers.
